- 2 pieces Green cardamom
- 1 long stick cinnamon
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp chopped coriander
Steps to make Chicken Masala
- Marinate the chicken with turmeric powder,red chilli powder,salt and some mustard oil for 20 minutes.
- Heat a wide bottom vessel and add mustard oil.Add whole spices (cinnamon,bay leaves,green cardamom and cumin seeds)
- Add sliced onions and cook till light golden brown.Then add ginger garlic paste to it.Saute it for few minutes.Add chopped tomatoes to it.Cook for some minutes.
- After the oil separates from the masala and the raw smell of ginger garlic paste goes away,add the marinated chicken and mix well.
- Then add powdered spices (cumin powder,coriander powder and red chilli powder) and mix well.Cover the chicken and let it cook for 20 - 25 minutes.
- Once the juices dry off and the masala coats the chicken uniformly, add the garam massala and stir it well.
- Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
